The Pulse Group’s dedicated equipment arm, Pulse Fitness, has recently completed an equipment upgrade at Basingstoke Sports Centre, to create a spacious modern environment kitted out with the latest technology. The Pulse Group has previously worked with the Basingstoke Sports Trust who manage the site, on the complete refurbishment of the disused Newbury Park cinema in 2015 to create bst fitness.
Basingstoke Sport Trust is a not-for-profit organisation who are committed to investing in leisure development projects, to continue their core aim of getting communities health, active and engaged in physical activity.
The recent upgrade at Basingstoke Sports Centre, which has a value of approx. £400k, has included a refresh of all fitness equipment, bringing the gym completely up-to-date. The fitness suite now boasts 150 stations of Pulse’s technologically advanced Series 3 cardio equipment, as well as strength kit and free-weights. The team at Pulse Fitness also advised on and installed a large bespoke functional training rig – which features a turf sled track and punch bags – as well as interactive CardioWalls, in order to create a state-of-the-art functional training zone.
“Having worked with Pulse in the past, we knew they were the perfect company to offer a modern fitness vision,” says James Starbuck, Chief Executive for Basingstoke Sports Trust. “As a charity, we really want to engage the community in healthier, more active lifestyle choices and we were able to liaise closely with the Pulse team to select the perfect mix of equipment for the whole community.”
“We were delighted to work with Basingstoke Sports Trust once again, on this brand-new fitness equipment install,” says Richard Sheen National Sales Manager for Pulse. “It was a great project to be involved in and having worked alongside them previously we understood exactly what the focus needed to be. With this knowledge our team have focused on giving members a modern, stylish gym with the very best fitness equipment and technology, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Trust on future projects.”
