Leading leisure solutions supplier Pulse has been awarded another fitness contract in Northern Ireland, after being appointed by Lisburn & Castlereagh Council to refurbish, equip and operate a brand-new fitness suite at Lough Moss Leisure Centre.
As part of the refurbishment, which has an estimated value of £300k, Pulse Fitness – the dedicated equipment arm of the Pulse Group – has been tasked with bringing the old gym completely up-to-date, and has created a spacious, modern environment kitted out with the latest technology. The fitness suite now boasts 20 stations of the latest Series 3 cardio equipment, 16 strength stations, as well as a functional training rig, and free-weights area.
Lough Moss Leisure Centre currently receives approximately 11,000 visitors per month, and has a membership base of 500, aged 15-75 years. Latent demand figures predict over 1,000 members which Pulse will be aiming to achieve.
Pulse Solutions, the dedicated business operational solutions division, have installed their proven membership management Exerp software, which will allow staff to manage all DDI, member activity and EPOS from one easy solution. Pulse’s intelligent tracking software PulseMove has also be installed across all fitness equipment, to aide retention and grow the existing membership bank. The software comprises an in-gym kiosk, website and mobile app which allows member date to be collected both in and outside the gym.
The 5-year contract between the Pulse Group and Lisburn & Castlereagh Council will also cover all marketing, including a brand-new website and social media for the centre as well as online class booking software.
“We are delighted to be working with Lisburn & Castlereagh Council and look forward to supporting them in their latest vision,” says Chris Johnson, Managing Director for Pulse. “We hope that providing a varied and innovative mix of equipment, and cutting-edge technology will help to attract more people from the local community to come and get fit.”
Councillor Tim Morrow, Chairman of the Council’s Leisure & Community Development Committee said, “The Council is delighted to welcome the Pulse Group to Lough Moss Leisure Centre. We are excited by the plans to update and modernise the fitness suite, which with the support and knowledge of the Pulse Group, will offer a great experience for all of our customers.
“Under the new management, there will be a choice of great value membership rates with pricing for an all-inclusive membership ranging from £23 for students and seniors to £28 per month for an adult. We would encourage residents to visit the centre and chat to the Pulse Team about the superb plans for the facility.”
